We are extremely excited to unveil our complimentary golf lesson program. Based on our research, we are one of two Clubs in the nation to offer an entirely complimentary golf lesson program as an additional amenity to golf members. Some might say we are crazy, we like to think we are cutting edge! At this point you are asking, “How can we be so lucky?” We are glad you asked as there are a variety of reasons. First and foremost, golf can be extremely difficult and downright scary to learn. We believe members who play better will enjoy the game more and, as a result, find more enjoyment in their Field Club membership. Next, we’ve found many of our golf members only have one or two golfing members in their family; we’d love to introduce the game to anyone slightly interested. While golf can be competitive, the social aspects of the game (playing together as a family, couples 9 and wine, glow golf, etc.) can be just as enjoyable, sometimes even more so! Lastly, and most selfishly, members tell us when they play better, they are more apt to play more often; we would love to see our members even more than we do currently. If you’ve made it this far you have certainly asked yourself, so what’s the catch? There really isn’t one. We’ve reallocated our budget dollars to cover the added expense of complimentary golf instruction because we believe so strongly in the positive effect this program will have on our members. Will we have instructors standing around waiting for members at all hours? Not quite, but we’ve developed a schedule of availability that we believe balances fiscal responsibility and member benefit. Tweaks will be made, and schedules will likely be adjusted as we move through the season and gather more information and feedback from you, our member. FAQs

Q:  Which membership types are included in the new complimentary golf lesson program?
A:  Our complimentary golf lesson program is included with all golf memberships; if you have unlimited golf course access you are included in the complimentary golf lesson program! Other membership types, including social memberships, can still take lessons but at the current price of each PGA professional. The current price for our PGA Director of Instruction Kevin Boehler is $60 for each 45 minute lesson.  

Q:  Is every member of my family included?
A:  Yes! Every family member on the golf membership is included in the lesson program.   

Q:  Does the new complimentary lesson program include junior golf programs?
A:  All junior golf programs including junior golf clinics and team golf will be a separate charge for golf and social members due to the vast amount of activities included in the program outside of general golf instruction. However, junior golfers can utilize private lessons free of charge by booking an individual lesson.  

Q:  How do I book a lesson?
A:  Lessons can be booked by going onto the ForeTees homepage or app and clicking on the “Lesson“ tab on the left-hand navigation panel. From there you will see all available lesson times to book at your convenience.   

Q:  You say unlimited, but how many lessons can I take per week?
A:  Each member will be restricted to one individual lesson per week to ensure equal opportunity for all members. This is one lesson per individual so each person in your family is permitted 1 lesson per week.  

Q:  How long is each lesson?
A:  Lesson lengths vary based on schedule availability and day of the week. Lessons during the week (Wednesday-Friday) can last between 10-45 minutes depending on your schedule and the complexity of the instruction given. Due to the volume of play on the weekends (Saturday/Sunday/Holidays) lessons will last between 10-15 minutes. If no lessons are booked immediately before or after your scheduled lesson, the lesson may begin early or extend late.   

Q:  May I book multiple sessions in a row if I want a longer lesson?
A:  We ask that you please respect the lesson bookings and only book one lesson per week. However, lesson length may vary in order to accommodate your swings needs. (For example: if you aren’t quite satisfied or we need to finish something up, we will go a few minutes long)   

Q:  Do I have to book my lessons in advance or will I be able to walk in?
A:  A lesson book will be set up on ForeTees with all available lesson times. We please ask that you book your lessons at least 24 hours in advance to ensure you have secured your time. Walk ins will be accepted if PGA professionals are available or no lessons are scheduled for that time.   

Q:  Where will my lesson be given?
A:  Depending on a combination of availability and what part of your game we are instructing we will be one of three places: our driving range tee (mid and short irons/wedges/bunker) located near the Pavilion, the 7th tee box (long irons/woods) or the putting green (chipping/pitching/putting) near the Clubhouse.  

Q:  The lesson book does not fit my schedule, am I able to book lessons outside of the designated times?
A:  Absolutely! We understand that schedules are ever changing and we want to accommodate your needs. If the scheduled lesson times do not work please contact the golf shop and we would be happy to set up a time that works for you and the PGA professional.   

Q:  Will I be able to choose my instructor? 
A:  No. Oh, we’re just kidding! We will do our best to make sure you are paired with the teacher of your choice. Each of our PGA professionals will be working the lesson tee during the week so you may not have the same pro each time. The golf shop will inform you which PGA professional will be instructing you prior to your lesson. You are also welcome to contact the golf shop ahead of time to request a certain PGA professional.  

Q:  Will I be able to receive a club fitting during my lesson? 
A:  Of course, the Club utilizes MEVO flight scope technology as well as a Callaway fitting cart to help get you fit for the perfect set of clubs.
